Batterer's Intervention Program
This is a 52-week domestic violence program that meets all requirements under Penal Code Sections 1203.097 and 1203.098. The program has been certified by the Yolo County Probation Department since 2010.
Domestic violence is the use of emotional, psychological, sexual, or physical force by one family member or intimate partner to control another. The philosophy of Bobbie Stewart Consulting (BSC) is to advance the premise that domestic violence and intimate partner abuse is a learned behavior, a product of thinking errors, and therefore, is changeable.
BSC strives to promote increased safety for victims, children, and other family members, as well as provide a meaningful opportunity for clients to change their behavior.
BSC offers ongoing, gender-specific group sessions in Woodland and West Sacramento. All fees are based on a sliding scale set by the Yolo County Probation Department.
